Coffee and Inclusion: The Training Project by My Urby APS and Rancilio at the Bollate Prison

Starting May 30, 2025, My Urby APS, in collaboration with Rancilio Group, will launch a training project at the Bollate Prison. The initiative includes a three-month barista course for inmates, with one weekly lesson taught by a teacher from the Carlo Porta Hospitality School in Milan.

Rancilio, always attentive to the value of social responsibility, is actively participating by providing professional equipment: the Classe 5 Eco single-boiler espresso machine—a natural solution for environmentally conscious baristas aiming to improve energy efficiency—and the professional Kryo EVO OD coffee grinder.

“We strongly believe in the educational power of work and in the value of second chances. Contributing to this project means investing in a fairer and more inclusive future,” said Luca Creti, Sales Director Italy at Rancilio Group.

The project stems from the ongoing commitment of My Urby APS to promote social inclusion through cultural and professional programs, even in challenging environments such as the prison system. The goal is to offer inmates concrete opportunities for reintegration into the workforce, recognizing their human value and potential.
