The Julius Meinl Barista Cup returns in 2026, bringing together talented baristas from around the world to celebrate craftsmanship, creativity and coffee expertise.
As official sponsor, Rancilio Specialty supports the competition with the RS1 professional espresso machine. Engineered for precision, the RS1 combines multi-boiler technology with Advanced Temperature Profiling, offering baristas greater control over flavour development, and helping them highlight sweetness, acidity and balance in every cup.
From April to July 2026, national competitions will take place across 17 countries: Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, the UAE and the USA.
The baristas, who will compete in three categories (Espresso, Cappuccino, and Signature Drink), will be evaluated by exceptional judges on technique, flavor, and presentation. Only those who excel in all three categories will have the opportunity to compete against the other national winners at the Grand Finale in Vienna on September 4th.
