Rancilio Specialty Returns to Mexico City for The Barista League: Latin America

Rancilio Specialty is heading to Mexico City for The Barista League 2026: Latin America on May 6, bringing coffee lovers together at the iconic Foro Indie Rocks.

With the support of Rancilio Specialty Invicta’s cutting-edge technology, six teams of top baristas will compete on the main stage under a new competition format. Judges Daniela Hidalgo, Ivanov Castellanos, Carlos Escobar, Anny Barrera, and Matiás Durán will evaluate competitors across concept, service, and product, considering storytelling, presentation, and overall experience in addition to drink quality.

Beyond the competition, guests can visit the Rancilio Specialty booth to test their coffee knowledge and sensory skills with the RS1 espresso machine. The “Guess the Temperature Profile” game demonstrates how altering the water temperature during extraction can produce two completely different coffees from the same bean, offering a fun and immersive experience for all participants.

With coffee professionals, enthusiasts, and competitors gathering from across the region, The Barista League: Latin America promises an unforgettable day filled with coffee, community, and creativity — all set against the vibrant energy of Mexico City.
